Pre-school education in our country has shown a great growth in terms of quality and quantity, especially in the last 10 years, considering the increasing number of students and teachers, the number of schools opened, and the number of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs opened in universities. Recent studies focus on the quality and sustainability of preschool education.

The aim of The Pre-School Education Master's Program is to support their professional development by providing them with specialized knowledge and to help them gain research skills. During the program, candidates work on theoretical issues in the field of pre-school education and their field applications.
The Pre-School Education Master's Program aims to provide young researchers with the skills to design, conduct and conclude quantitative and qualitative research within the ethical boundaries of the field of preschool teaching. The program also aims to bring to the attention of students the theoretical foundations that will form the basis for these researches and recent current issues and discussions such as gender, sustainability, family studies, special education, technology literacy, and guidance.

Students graduating from the master's program are expected to engage in active educational or research activities and develop sufficient motivation for further postgraduate studies in this field. In addition, graduates of the program can contribute to pre-service and in-service teacher education programs in the field or work as lecturers in related departments of universities.

The main purpose of the Istanbul Kültür University Graduate Education Institute Pre-School Education Master's Program with Thesis is to train researchers who have acquired research skills, who can scientifically and analytically evaluate current issues related to preschool education in our country and around the world, who can solve problems and produce solutions.

In our country and in the world, the value given to early childhood and the quality of education given in this period are gaining importance. Developing countries, especially those aiming for economic and social growth, shape their policies on the health and education of young children. Social policies try to create healthy upbringing conditions for children, taking into account the primary benefit of the child from a humanitarian point of view, and taking into account the protection, nutrition, health, social activities and play opportunities of children. In addition, considering the fact that the most important capital of a country in economic terms is human, social policies should be shaped on the consideration of children's health and well-being.

The courses in the Pre-School Master's Program with Thesis are designed to improve researchers' ability to obtain information, question and produce solutions in different subjects of pre-school education. In this respect, our program is similar to the master's programs carried out in developed countries. In addition, our program aims to support our students' ability to conduct independent research on how qualitative and quantitative methods can be applied in the field of preschool education.
