In Interior Architecture Master’s Degree Program, graduates who received undergraduate education in the fields of physical planning such as Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape, Urban and Regional Planning Departments will gain experience with the education given in environmental and cultural context in the subjects such as interior design and furniture design.
A graduate education system that is open to new developments and integrated with the world is targeted to educate internal designers who can produce sufficient technical and aesthetic solutions, who are equipped with the necessary professional knowledge, prioritize quality, aim to provide world class education in design and application, use modern technologies, and aim to train self-confident interior architects.
Interior Architecture Master’s Degree Program was opened in the Spring Semester of 2002-2003 Academic Year. Institute of Sciences Interior Architecture Master’s Degree Program is carried out in line with core values such as training individuals who have original, creative thinking, self-confidence, absolute compliance with scientific criteria, universality, transparency, rigor, original and solution-oriented thinking, sharing, encouraging cooperation, and developing interdisciplinary programs.
Period of Study
Program with Thesis: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)
- Medium of instruction in the Interior Architecture Program is Turkish.
- The program is a master’s degree program with thesis.
- Interior Architecture with thesis Program consists of 120 ECTS.
- In order to graduate, students must prepare “Master's Thesis” in addition to the normal course load.
- To enter ALES exam and get a minimum score of 55 from the quantitative score type,
- Candidates who graduated from undergraduate programs of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, Urban and Regional Planning can apply to the Interior Architecture Master's Program.
Note: A "Preparatory Program", the content and duration of which will be determined by the Department, may be compulsory for students who have not graduated from the relevant Department.
Program Opening Periods
Applications to the program are accepted twice a year in the Fall and Spring semesters.
The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, which adopts the principle of educating academicians and professionals equipped with the knowledge required by the academia and business world, has two master's programs with thesis and one master's program without thesis. These are;
- Interior Architecture Master's Program with Thesis,
- Environmental Design Master's Program with Thesis
- Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Master's Program without Thesis.
The aim of our postgraduate programs in our department is to enhance the researcher potential, delve into scientific events through interdisciplinary work and provide our postgraduate students with an analytical approach. Our education program brings a holistic approach to current issues and problems in the fields of art, technical and science with universal studies on the basis of theory-practice-research.

During the application candidates must bring the following:
- Copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate,
- Copy of Transcript,
- Copy of ALES Certificate,
- Certificate of Military Service Status (For male candidates),
- 2 passport photos,
- Copy of the Identity Card,
- Copy of the Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs,
During the final registration students must submit the following:
