Master’s Program in Radio, Television and Cinema

The Master’s Program in Radio, Television and Cinema is open to all candidates who have completed their undergraduate education, and it adopts a theoretical and practical approach that builds bridges between communication, radio, television, and cinema fields, as well as related disciplines. The primary goal of the program is to equip students with advanced academic knowledge and prepare them for both professional sectors and academic careers. The Faculty of Art and Design has a strong academic background with nearly 15 years of graduate education experience. The Master’s Program in Radio, Television and Cinema has graduated numerous students who have gone on to hold influential positions in the industry and academia.
One of the program’s strongest assets is its qualified and experienced academic staff. The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema faculty members not only strengthen students’ theoretical frameworks but also guide them through creative production processes. The academic staff consists of instructors with national and international experience in media production and broadcasting. Additionally, the program is a member of CILECT (Centre International de Liaison des Écoles de Cinéma et de Télévision – The International Association of Film and Television Schools), which places it within a globally recognized educational network. This membership supports the program’s quality standards and international collaborations, underlining its commitment to excellence in graduate education.
The Master’s Program in Radio, Television and Cinema aims to train both creative and well-equipped professionals for the industry and future academics specializing in communication and media studies.
Program with Thesis: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)
- The medium of instruction is Turkish.
- This is a thesis-based graduate program.
- The total program comprises 120 ECTS credits.
- In addition to the standard course load, students are required to complete a “Master’s Thesis” to graduate.
- Applicants must have taken the ALES (Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam) and received at least 55 points in either the Quantitative or Verbal score category.
Application Periods:
Applications are accepted twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Radio, Television and Cinema Master’s Degree Program is open to all candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree. The aim of the program is to provide a master's degree in the fields of communication, Radio, Television and Cinema and other disciplines related to these fields with an approach that combines theory and practice. Radio, Television and Cinema Master’s Degree Program is a member of the CILECT (International Association of Film and Television Schools). In this context, CILECT’s priorities include the member cinema schools prioritizing graduate education. It also aims to educate the faculty members of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and similar disciplines in the Faculty of Art and Design, as well as professionals who will work in various fields of the Radio, Television and Cinema industry and academicians of the future.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION TO ALL PROGRAMS
During the application candidates must bring the following:
- Copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate,,
- Copy of Transcript,
- Copy of ALES Certificate,,
- Certificate of Military Service Status (For male candidates),
- 2 passport photos,
- Copy of the Identity Card,
- Copy of the Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs,
During the final registration students must submit the following:
- Certified copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate
- Certified copy of Transcript,
- ALES Certificate, (To be printed out at the Institute.)
- Original of Military Service Status (For male candidates)
- 6 passport photos,
- Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs, (To be printed out at the Institute)
- First installment of Tuition Fee,
