Radio, Television and Cinema Master’s Degree Program

Radio, Television and Cinema Master’s Degree Program is open to all candidates who have completed their “undergraduate” degree. The aim of the program is to provide a “master's degree” in the fields of communication, Radio, Television and Cinema and other disciplines related to these fields with an approach that combines theory and practice. The Faculty of Art and Design has approximately 15 years of experience in graduate education. Communication Design Master’s Degree Program, a discipline close to the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, has given many graduates to the present day. A significant number of these graduates hold important positions in the academic field. The need for qualified teaching staff is becoming increasingly important today. 

Radio, Television and Cinema Master’s Degree Program is a member of the CILECT (International Association of Film and Television Schools). In this context, CILECT’s priorities include the member cinema schools prioritizing graduate education. It also aims to educate the faculty members of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and similar disciplines in the Faculty of Art and Design, as well as professionals who will work in various fields of the Radio, Television and Cinema industry and academicians of the future.

 

Period of Study

Program with Thesis:  2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)

  • Medium of instruction in the Radio, Television and Cinema Program is Turkish.
  • The program is a master’s degree program with thesis..
  • Radio, Television and Cinema Program consists of 120 ECTS.
  • In order to graduate, students must prepare “Master's Thesis” in addition to the normal course load.
  • To enter ALES exam and get a minimum score of 55 from the QUANTITATIVE (Sayısal) or EQUALLY-WEIGHTED (Eşit Ağırlık) score type,

Program Opening Periods

Applications to the program are accepted twice a year in the Fall and Spring semesters.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION TO ALL PROGRAMS

During the application candidates must bring the following: 

  • Copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate,,
  • Copy of Transcript,
  • Copy of ALES Certificate,,
  • Certificate of Military Service Status (For male candidates),
  • 2 passport photos,
  • Copy of the Identity Card,
  • Copy of the Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs,


During the final registration students must submit the following:

  • Certified copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate
  • Certified copy of Transcript,
  • ALES Certificate, (To be printed out at the Institute.)
  • Original of Military Service Status (For male candidates)
  • 6 passport photos,
  • Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs, (To be printed out at the Institute)
  • First installment of Tuition Fee,
