In Environmental Design Master’s Degree Program, graduates who received undergraduate education in the fields of physical planning such as Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape, Urban and Regional Planning Departments will gain experience with the education given in environmental and cultural context in the subjects such as interior design and furniture design.
A graduate education system that is open to new developments and integrated with the world is targeted to educate internal designers who can produce sufficient technical and aesthetic solutions, who are equipped with the necessary professional knowledge, prioritize quality, aim to provide world class education in design and application, use modern technologies, and aim to train self-confident interior architects.
Period of Study
Program with Thesis: 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)
- Medium of instruction in the Environmental Design Program is Turkish.
- The program is a master’s degree program with thesis.
- Environmental Design Program consists of 120 ECTS.
- For the students who do not graduate from the related department, a "Preparatory Program" with a content to be determined by the Department may be required for 2 semesters.
- In order to graduate, students must prepare “Master's Thesis” in addition to the normal course load.
- To enter ALES exam and get a minimum score of 55 from the quantitative score type,
- Candidates who graduated from undergraduate programs of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, Urban and Regional Planning can apply to the Environmental Design Master’s Degree Program.
Program Opening Periods
Applications to the program are accepted twice a year in the Fall and Spring semesters.
The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, which adopts the principle of raising academics and professionals equipped with the knowledge required by the academy and business world of the Graduate Education Institute, has two graduate programs. These are Interior Architecture Master's Program with Thesis and Environmental Design Master's Program with Thesis.
The purpose of our graduate programs in our department; To increase the researcher potential, to examine scientific events in depth with interdisciplinary work and to provide our graduate students with an analytical approach. Our education program brings a holistic approach to current issues and problems in the fields of art, technique and science, on the basis of theory-practice-research, with universal studies.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION TO ALL PROGRAMS
During the application candidates must bring the following:
- Copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate,
- Copy of Transcript,
- Copy of ALES Certificate,
- Certificate of Military Service Status (For male candidates),
- 2 passport photos,
- Copy of the Identity Card,
- Copy of the Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs,
During the final registration students must submit the following:
- Certified copy of Diploma or Temporary Graduation Certificate,
- Certified copy of Transcript,
- ALES Certificate, (To be printed out at the Institute.)
- Original of Military Service Status (For male candidates),
- 6 passport photos,
- Foreign Language Certificate for PhD Programs, (To be printed out at the Institute)
- First installment of Tuition Fee,
