Engineering Management is an interdisciplinary branch that combines different engineering fields with management. Solutions and improvements to the problems encountered in the modern industry and innovations that enable us to go beyond the age are possible through collaboration and effective management of engineering fields. Industrial Engineering, which is based on holistic and scientific approaches to problem solving and system improvements, forms the basis of the Engineering Management program in this respect.

Engineering Management program is designed to meet the needs of today and the near future, with courses for different sectors and research areas. In this program, which will be enriched by bringing together students from different branches of engineering, knowledge of students will be improved in the efficient and effective management of engineering function. In addition, what is learned in theoretical courses will be transformed into research with thesis studies.

Hamza Yasin

After completing my Bachelor’s degree at IKU as the top student in my department, I was honored to receive a 100% scholarship to pursue my Master’s studies. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity that was given to me to continue my academic journey in the Industrial Engineering Department, within the Engineering Management program.

At times, you may feel lost or overwhelmed—it’s a natural part of the journey. But with the unwavering support and guidance of our instructors, you will never walk alone. I experienced this firsthand, especially through the mentorship of my advisor, Professor Okay, whose guidance was invaluable in helping me successfully complete my thesis.

The Engineering Management program not only deepened my understanding of the field but also enhanced my ability to connect decision-making techniques with data-driven analysis.

To any student who may be hesitating, as I once did, I wholeheartedly encourage you to take this step. You won’t regret it.

Abdel Baset

Choosing to pursue my Master's in Engineering Management at IKU, after completing my Civil Engineering degree, was one of the best decisions of my academic path. The program pushed me to see engineering not just as a technical discipline, but as a field where sound decision-making and management thinking make all the difference.

Today, I work as a Civil Engineer and BIM Specialist at a construction company, where I combine technical design with project management responsibilities. I am especially grateful to the entire department, whose guidance and genuine investment in our development shaped how I approach problems to this day, the quality of teaching and mentorship truly set this program apart.

The program taught me to think critically, structure problems systematically, and connect engineering execution with sound decision-making, skills I rely on every day in my work.

To prospective students: this program will challenge you to think beyond a single discipline, and you'll be learning from professors who are genuinely invested in your growth. If you're willing to put in the work, it will open doors you didn't expect.

Hajar Rahali

My name is Hajar Rahali, and I am a graduate of the Engineering Management Master's Program at İstanbul Kültür University. I currently work as a Projects Lead in an international organization, leading cross-functional projects, designing operational systems, and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple countries. Following my graduation, I have continued to build my career in project and program management while actively pursuing research opportunities, with the goal of continuing my academic journey through a Ph.D.

The Engineering Management program at İstanbul Kültür University has been instrumental in both my professional and academic development. It equipped me with the ability to integrate engineering knowledge with strategic management, strengthened my analytical and leadership skills, and gave me the confidence to solve complex challenges through a structured and data-driven approach. The knowledge and experience I gained continue to influence my work every day.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Fatih, my thesis supervisor, for his continuous guidance, encouragement, and invaluable academic support throughout my research journey. His expertise, constructive feedback, and dedication played a fundamental role in shaping my way of thinking as a researcher. Through his mentorship, I learned not only how to conduct research but also how to think critically, approach problems scientifically, and pursue knowledge with curiosity and rigor. His guidance has inspired me to continue my academic journey, and it is one of the main reasons I am determined to pursue a Ph.D. in the future.
